The Ripon Area Community Theatre (RACT) presented a comedic and heartfelt celebration of the ups and downs of being a mom with our summer musical production of “Motherhood: The Musical,” by Sue Fabisch, August 15th-17th, 2025 in the Ripon High School Auditorium. Directed by long-time community member Pat Ellis, “Motherhood: the Musical” tells a story of motherhood through catchy songs, big laughs, and heartfelt moments that every parent will recognize.

As Amy, our main character, prepares for the birth of her first child, her group of mom friends throw her a surprise baby shower. While Amy obsesses over meticulous plans and stacks of parenting books, the other moms offer advice and a glimpse into the beautiful chaos that lies ahead; as they share their real-life messes, struggles, and the bittersweet process of watching your children grow up.

As a special treat for families, the RACT held a special pre-show ice cream social before the final performance on August 17th in the Ripon High School Commons.
